| Duties: | In this position, you will participate in the efforts of the UWC sales team to increase our market share and build company brand awareness in the produce transportation industry. In addition, the Account Manager has the primary responsibility of managing the relationship with the customer and ensuring total customer satisfaction according to UWC's 10 guiding principles. Duties include negotiating and securing shipments with our customers and carriers utilizing the UWC Sales Process in order to hit daily/weekly/monthly Load Targets. Individuals must be comfortable handling a large volume of phone calls daily (incoming and outgoing), be able to type 40-50 words per minute, and posses strong computer skills. A good understanding of North American geography and the ability to speak Spanish are considered strong assets. In addition, the Carrier Development team is primarily responsible for the development and generation of carrier leads, and managing the relationship with the carrier to ensure total carrier satisfaction according to UWC's 10 guiding principles. Duties include daily proactive communication with existing carrier base to generate load opportunities, and regular monitoring of software systems to prospect and qualify new carriers in order to hit daily/weekly/monthly Carrier Lead Targets. Individuals must be comfortable handling a large volume of phone calls daily (incoming and outgoing), be able to type 40-50 words per minute, and posses strong computer skills. A good understanding of North American geography and the ability to speak Spanish are considered strong assets.
